Taking the game too seriously?

Hey guys,

I don't mind that you locked me out of the forums. I realize this endgame is pretty intense for a lot of you, and you have put a lot of time in effort into getting here. But did you really have to boot Buzztinker? The poor guy is devastated. *Winter* was supposed to be about loyalty.

I honestly don't care who wins this game. It has been over for me for months. Is there really any need for secrecy at this point? I'm just a (bored) watcher on the sidelines.

out of the blue, no warnings, no explanation, nothing.

oh well, i IGM'd the top 20 players what happened, and what reaction i got.

things got out of hand after that.
being that offensive to a guy the you know has 20k offensive troops... thats not dumb, it is plain stupid.
Dekay will claim the win for his own, because clearly he could care less for his peons.

EDIT: Hi i am editing brnkts message and supplying teh reason for him being booted. I have known he was a spy for some time now and have tried to set anyone as sitter, but ofcourse he refused. And since he wasnt helping at all not even one single crop to the WW i had no use for him. Sorry Boltie about your villages \\DK

Oh well. Ubi's WW is up to level 95 now. Hopefully this is the last week of the server. Maybe Grotmar and Dekay will offer us an explanation after they are done doing the devil's bidding.

Buzz will get a new invite asap, but that might take a while. I dont know why you, crapstorm are not able to have forumaccess anymore, need to talk to some peopel of why. I have been out of travian more or less for the last 5 days since i worked in netherlands without much onlienaccess at all.

I think I know why there was a purge. I just looked at the WW standings. Looks like your WW got hit hard. If it's any consolation, Vlad's screwed too. At least 5k of buddy's troops have starved there in the last 48 hours. Half of HS-Ms A has red or grey dots next to them. Hurry up and finish that thing, Ubiquitous! It sucks that DarkAvalon's dream is coming to fruition, but oh well. He never paid for his crimes. Maybe Winter Reign will rise again on another server.

Thanks CS. Ubis WW got hit too, but not as much as i did... I got a real beating. Here is what they say about us, if you go up a level you can see the attacks on my WW as well. Dont know why we got access to it but oh well...

I have no clue if Winter riegn will rise again... it all depends. I have been asked if i was willing to lead CF on another server, some very active CF players are starting again, ofcourse under the CF tag and given the experience we learned form this it would be fun to give it anotehr go, but this game takes too much time.

Especially teh endgame has proved to us that S3WC and HS had more experience than us. For example we would have built a large pult army to lead the attacks on nottios WW to tear down the wall

Yeah, Travian can take a lot of time. But I've been experimenting with a more relaxed playing style on Server 6. I'm not doing any farming, I'm not starting any distant colonies, and I'm keeping sitting to a minimum. It was a little rough at first, but I've made friends of all my neighbors, and my alliance is dominating the NW. I log in about 3-4 times a day. Using Plus helps.

Woohoo! Nottio takes the lead (lvl 97)!

Ubiquitous has been stuck at lvl 96 for about a week now. Is he perhaps having trouble defending his WW plan villages?

Troops are starving like crazy at Vlad's WW. Buddy must have lost 10k troops there in the last week. I'm gonna start shipping resources to Nottio instead. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

CF sucks! You guys should have taken my advice and joined the winning team.

But seriously, it was a pleasure playing my first game of Travian with you guys. It certainly didn't turn out how I had hoped or predicted. I totally enjoyed the first few months. When WINTER REIGN took me in, and Marc and Valosi helped me deal with my molesters, they had a friend for life. And then the crisis at Zahid's... that was amazingly fun!

Now that I've seen the endgame and started playing on another server, I can truly say that *WINTER* was a unique alliance. Seems like we were all newbies, but we learned quickly, stayed true to one another and adapted to this brutal, violent server.

Yeah, I can agree we were mostly a bunch of newbies in travian, as almost all CF were. There are a few who play travian like a career and none of them are in CF.

CF will be playing on a travian server soon, , adapt to their mistakes we did on this. and they will win that server for sure.

The server was a very even one, and fun one for those who have played many servers, one of the most even ones in travian history. Very brutal one, with lots of wars all over teh place!

And i can say that WINTER was a truly good and fun alliance to play in, a special alliance!! even though teh forum has gone dead some, and some core players have been phased out to get in new ones... but i guess that happens for playing 1 year is a long time.
